Completed the DiSC day program with Judy. It was extremely insightful and it highlights the value in developing an understanding in this area to assist in team management. The indentification of my management profile and learning how to target communication to individual profiles will ensure more meaningful interactions with each of member of my team, making for an even more harmonious work place. I couldnt recommended it more highly.

Zenith HR and Judy Barker have literally transformed the HR, IR and WHS face of our business in the last four months. I have never worked with such a professional consultancy. Judy and her team have assisted us in embedding a new HRIS, a full suite of policies, procedures and position descriptions, full award review and upgraded our contracts and payroll processes. I would not hesitate to recommend Zenith and Judy as the literal zenith of the HR profession!

Emotional Culture Index Survey

Do you know how your people are feeling right now?

We all experience a wide range of pleasant and unpleasant feelings at work as we interact with colleagues, customers, suppliers and others. These feelings influence our decisions, behaviour and performance.

Pleasant feelings have a ‘broaden and build’ effect causing us to think more broadly, engage more deeply and perform better.

Unpleasant emotions tend to have a ‘narrow and limiting’ effect, causing us to be more closed-minded, less engaging and poorer at performing. Collectively, these emotions impact the bottom line for better or worse.

Research shows that people in high performing organisations experience more positive emotions and fewer negative emotions than those in low performing organisations.

Why does this matter?

When you know how your people are feeling you can better plan where to focus your energy to optimise engagement, productivity, retention and resilience.

The Emotional Culture Index (ECI)

We’re currently offering a survey for new and existing clients to gain valuable insight into how their people are feeling, and their business culture. ‘The Emotional Culture Index’ is designed to measure three dimensions of emotions at work:

  1. Current state – How often your people experience certain feelings at work.
  2. Expected state – How often your people think it’s fair and reasonable to experience these feelings at work given the nature and context of your workplace.
  3. Ideal state – How often your people think they should ideally experience these feelings in your workplace in order to be effective.
